Scientific-Research Institute of the Faculty of Humanities is a structural division of the relevant faculty of the university, which performs a voluminous, purposeful scientific-research work in a specific direction of science.

Archaeology (Director - Professor Vakhtang Japaridze);

Georgian History and Ethnology (Director - Associate Professor Bezhan Khorava);

Kartvelian Linguistics (Director - Professor Merab Natchkebia);

Georgian Literature (Director - Associate Professor Tite Mosia);

Abkhazian Language and Culture (Director - Doctor of Philology Teimuraz Gvantseladze).
