About Jean Monnet Module

For the first time at Sokhumi State University, Jean Monnet Module (Jean Monnet Activities - Erasmus+ Program (ERASMUS) ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH - CSREU) was selected for co-financing by the European Commission. The coordinator of the three-year Jean Monnet Module "Corporate Social Responsibility in the European Union: Experience for Georgia" is Professor Larisa Takalandze (Faculty of Business and Social Sciences). The Module includes a new study course "Corporate Social Responsibility in the European Union" for undergraduate students and a summer school "Corporate Social Responsibility in the context of Relations between the EU and Georgia" for both undergraduate and postgraduate students; the Module includes research studies and a number of events in CSR.

 

Title of the Module:

 „Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the European Union: Experience for Georgia“  (ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH – Project  number 101083295 — CSREU).  Duration of the Module is 3 years – 2022-2025.

 

Module Objectives:

The general objective of the project is to improve quality of study programs at Sokhumi State University (SSU) in the field of European integration. Introduction of the module «Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the European Union: Experience for Georgia” will contribute to the training of students at SSU; it will acquaint them with the evolution and forms of CSR in the EU.

 

Relevant  Activities:

 

·       Teaching the course “CSR in the European Union” (Bachelor) For students of program “Business Administration” the course is compulsory and for students of other specialization the course is elective.

·       Textbook preparation and publication. The textbook "CSR in the EU" will be used as a basic guide for students;

·       Scientific conference «European Union's Policy on CSR» at SSU. Scientific conference comprises academic staff, postgraduate/doctoral students, and researchers from SSU and other HEIs interested in CSR and European integration issues, in general. Abstracts from conference papers will be published after scientific conference.

·       Organizing Summer School for students (MA, Bachelor) on the topic “CSR in the context of Relations between the European Union and Georgia”;

·       Dissemination and other
