An exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Latvia’s independence was opened at Sokhumi State University.  For this occasion, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Georgia, Ingrida Lavrente visited the University.

Professor Zurab Khonelidze, the Rector of Sokhumi State University and the Head of International Relations and Intercultural Relations Department - Indira Dzagania hosted the honorable guest.

"The special relationship between our countries and our university is noted by the fact that there is a Latvia's corner in the university library and Latvia's auditorium at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences," said the Rector Zurab Khonelidze.

During the meeting Ambassador talked about Latvia's higher education institutions, and plans for future cooperation.
