
EU project DITECH Professional Development Training in Tallinn
On May 22-28, 2022, within the
framework of the EU Erasmus + project DITECH
(Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at
Georgian HEIs), the first training of trainers was held for the representatives
of the academic staff of the Georgian universities participating in the project
and the representatives of the National Center for Teacher Professional
Development.
The training was organized by the
University of Tallinn (Estonia). Practical seminars and workshops were led by
representatives of the University of Tallinn. Participants were introduced to
innovative technology-enriched learning strategies and ways to create a digital
learning environment during the training. As a result of the training,
participants will be able to make better use of the potential of modern
information and communication technologies in the process of creating and
conducting training courses; they will also better understand the role of
various information and communication technologies in introducing innovative
pedagogical approaches. It is noteworthy that the participants were introduced
to the pedagogical and technological aspects of creating educational videos,
the possibilities of using telematics robots in the learning process, and various
tools and programs for creating, recording, and editing
interactive educational videos. During the training, the participants
themselves were involved in practical work, creating and presenting videos and
presentations through various technological tools and software.
